Author readings Oct. 17 at Gumboot Cafe

Poetry. Horror. Humour. Fiction. Nonfiction. Live music . . . It was a treat to join about a dozen local authors, of diverse genres, and musician Rae Armour on Oct. 17 on opening day of the Sunshine Coast Art Crawl. We had a packed house at the Gumboot Cafe in xwesam Roberts Creek, BC.

Hosted by the Sunshine Coast Writers and Editors Society, we each read a five-minute excerpt from one of our published works. I read from my memoir No Letter in Your Pocket, sharing my gratitude for a homemade curry dinner with a lovely family in India that made me feel so at home.
