Raincoast Chronicles 22 author readings Dec. 4 in Sechelt, BC

David and I at Raincoast Chronicles 22 Sechelt launch
Here I am with my cousin David, the editor
of Raincoast Chronicles 22, at the launch in Sechelt, BC.

Discover how B.C.’s Sakinaw salmon were saved. What emergency visits did doctors make by boat on the coast in the 1980s?

I’ll be doing a brief reading and presentation, with slide-show images, as part of the Sunshine Coast launch of Raincoast Chronicles 22: Saving Salmon, Sailors and Souls. This will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre in Sechelt, BC.

In reading from my feature “The Making of the Tetrahedron,” I’ll be highlighting the volunteer efforts that helped create the wilderness park and started the roots of the conservation movement on the Sunshine Coast.

Fellow contributors David Conn, my cousin who edited the book, and Peter Robson, will also be giving presentations.
