Memoir reading March 24 at Mission Point House

I will be reading from my memoir No Letter in Your Pocket on March 24 at Mission Point House in Davis Bay, BC. This free public event is part of the monthly writing events hosted by the Sunshine Coast Writers and Editors Society. I like what BC BookWorld has said about my book:

Above all, it is Conn’s skill as a writer that draws you in, creating a deep, empathetic bond between author and reader. Not all of us are victims of incest, but we all have our traumas and psychic wounds, which is why Conn’s book is so engaging and inspiring.”

I will chat about memoirs and include a few fun exercises. Books will be available for sale and signing. My reading is sponsored by the Writers’ Union of Canada and Canada Council for the Arts.

This event, held 2 to 4:30 pm, will begin with a reading by Frances Peck, North Vancouver author of the novel Uncontrolled Flight. In this book, a pilot crashes and burns, leaving behind a widow and secrets to unravel.
