Learn our local literary history Nov. 10 at Roberts Creek Hall
If you want to learn more about notable authors who lived on BC’s Sunshine Coast, come to the Tale Trail Experience at Roberts Creek Hall on Nov. 10. I’ll be giving a presentation about M. Wylie Blanchet, the author who wrote the west-coast adventure nonfiction The Curve of Time. It has recently been on BC’s bestseller’s list even more than a half-century after its 1961 publication. My talk will include short readings from her classic book and her children’s book A Whale Named Henry.
You’ll also hear from Michael Gurney, Jan DeGrass, Caitlin Hicks, Cindy Labonte-Smith, and others. Live fiddler music and free refreshments. Sponsored by SCWES and Heritage BC, this free event will run from 2-4:30 pm.
I am grateful for funding support from the Canada Council for the Arts through The Writers’ Union of Canada.
